Get to know BP's Regional Merchandiser, FRANCES VU!!!!

We're super excited to share with you some Q&A from a recent visit with BP's Regional Merchandiser, Frances Vu! We found out her favorite trends and items in BP. She also shared some details about her own journey with Nordstrom!

Q: How would you describe the BP girl?

A: The BP girl is trendy and feminine. She wants to be cute and relevant. 

Q: Where do you find the inspiration for BP's upcoming trends?

A: Nordstrom buyers communicate the trends; They travel to London every year and they've even been to events like Cochella to spot trends!

Q: What is your favorite trend this summer?

A: I love color! Colored denim, color blocking, and colored stripes! 

Q: How do you incorporate current trends into your wardrobe?

A: It's so easy with my job! I look through magazines, talk with buyers, and I am addicted to fashion blogs!!!

Q: What part of your job do you love the most?

A: I enjoy interacting with people. It's great to be able to work with each manager and their team.

Q: Are there other positions within Nordstrom that you would like to experience?

A: I think working with Nordstrom Product Group would be fascinating. (NPG is a team that produces brands only sold in Nordstrom.) More specifically, I would want to be involved in the manufacturing behind the design and development of the product.

Q: Do you have any advice for girls who are looking to have a career with Nordstrom?

A: Always put in 110%! Stand above the rest, be vocal about your goals!

Q: What is your favorite item in Bp?

A: I love the BP Double Scoop Tank! I wear it at least 4 or 5 times a week, it's such great quality and I can wear them anywhere. It's the perfect item to have in every person's wardrobe!
